Join Marian and Gary, the co-founders of Western Spirit Enrichment Center near Sedona AZ, and other Western Spirit past guests and friends for a 7-day white water rafting trip down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. This trip will cover over 188 miles and 60 rapids of the awesome Grand Canyon, including exciting and thrilling Lava Falls.

We report on May 7, 2010 (Friday) to spectacular Marble Canyon for departure Saturday morning. At the end of the 7 days (May 14) we are helicopter’ed out of the Canyon at Whitmore Wash to the Bar Ten Ranch on the rim, where we board a plane for a short ride back to our starting point.

Experience the excitement, serenity, joy and enchanting beauty of the grandest canyon in the world (one of the Earth’s seven wonders!). Besides floating and rafting rapids every day, we will hike (mild to strenuous - you decide) into side canyons to sparkling streams and pristine pools, visit towering waterfalls, swim in tranquil clear pools, and explore ancient Anasazi Indian ruins. If you have been to the Grand Canyon with us before, you know what we are talking about. If you haven’t, then you are in for a memorable treat beyond your wildest imagination.

The cost of this 7-day trip is a special discounted group rate of $2,450 per person (minimum age for children is 12 years). All it takes is a $300 deposit now to reserve your spot. We’ll raft comfortably down the river in large, safe, 37 ft motorized S-Rig rubber boats, 16 persons to a raft, expertly piloted by two experienced and seasoned guides. All the delicious meals of the week, camping cots, sleeping bags and tents are provided and included in the cost. Minor additional fees include a National Parks pass ($12) and Med/Evac insurance ($15). The weather in May will be warm, but not too hot yet, and the Colorado River is cool.

This fabulous trip is arranged for us by Colorado River Expeditions, a licensed and experienced outfitter since 1971, with over 37 years of river running in the Grand Canyon. They are an authorized concessionaire of the National Park Service and Grand Canyon National Park.
