Message

On December 21st, many celebrated the winter solstice, the day that marks the longest night of the year but also signals the beginning of the lengthening of daylight. For thousands of years, cultures across the world have celebrated this day.

Light is a common theme in many religions as well. Lighting candles has become a sacred ritual woven into many spiritual traditions:

  • Lighting of the menorah in Judaism.
  • Lighting of the advent wreath in Christianity.
  • The Kinara of seven candles as part of Kwanza.
  • The Hindu celebration of light called Divali.

We invite you to remember the power of the symbol of light – to kindle the Divine Light that dwells inside your Soul in order for that light to shine forth in joy, compassion, and love. Let us remember to allow our lights to illuminate the oneness of us all and to bring true peace to this world. We are the light of the world. Through a kind smile, a loving act, a wise word, we are here TO BE LOVE AND LIGHT! Let us go forth and shine!

In love and light, Marian and Garrett
